Thermal Shock / Change of Temperature Test
This test is done to test the physical and chemical sustainability of the product to withstand rapid changes of temperature in the ambience. These changes can be either air to air, or liquid to liquid, air to liquid changes. The hot and cold chambers are built in a way to facilitate a quick transfer of the device under test (DUT) between the chambers. Temperature shock Testing can help determine physical, chemical and operation problems of a product some examples of Physical problems are shattering, binding or cracking of either the surface or internal components sudden temperature changes can occur among other things during transport from an air-conditioned room indoors to a high temperature desert outdoor Environment. The DUT is visually examined and mechanically / electrically checked for desired specification.
